ICAI SE Conference

Dear Colleagues,

Founded in 1992, the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI) is the world’s leading professional organization dedicated to combating academic misconduct (such as cheating and plagiarism) as well as promoting honesty throughout all levels of academia. The ICAI Southeast Regional Consortium (ICAI SE) was created in 2013 to provide a dedicated sub-group for students and professionals from ICAI member institutions in the southeastern United States a chance to gather and share best practices with each other. Hosted at Samford University in its inaugural year under the direction of Azalea Hubbard, ICAI SE headquarters moved to Kennesaw State University under my leadership in 2014. Information on last year’s conference can be found here.

KSU is once again proud to host the annual ICAI SE conference this November 2-3, 2015 at our main campus located in the northwest suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. We are especially fortunate to have Gary Pavela as our keynote speaker this year, bringing his extraordinary experience and expertise in the field of academic integrity to enhance our practice in the field.

As the director of ICAI SE, it is my goal to provide attendees with a series of presentations that examine current issues in building cultures of integrity on our schools alongside developing more effective strategies to combat academic misconduct. I hope that you will enjoy your time visiting KSU for this conference and that you find the sessions informative.

If you have any questions about the conference or KSU’s own academic integrity initiatives, please feel free to call me at 470-578-3403 or email me at mgoodwin@kennesaw.edu. I am always grateful for the opportunity to interact with and better serve students and employees from the schools in our consortium.

Sincerely,
Michael A. Goodwin
Assistant Director for Academic Integrity
